We would like to thank everyone who follows and spreads the word about the importance of Huaca Montegrande.

In 2025, 15 years after the start of our research, ASICAMPE's multidisciplinary team is working on a key moment: the excavation of what would be the tomb of the temple's highest religious figure, located in the center of the Great Spiral. This site is also recognized for housing the oldest record of cacao use in the world.

For these reasons, visits by the general public are temporarily suspended. Visits previously scheduled through our official channels will continue as planned. We appreciate your understanding and reiterate our commitment to conservation, research, and the value of cultural heritage.
