We’d like to share with you that the first stage of the field research work, which included the documentation and removal of stones from the inner rings, following the strictest archaeological standards, with the aim of excavating the center of the spiral of Huaca Montegrande, has been successfully completed.

Excavations will resume in May 2026, once the rainy season has ended.

For this reason, visits to Huaca Montegrande may take place from December 15, 2025 to April 30, 2026. Please note that although excavations are temporarily suspended, archaeological research is still ongoing. Therefore, visits will be attended only by prior coordination and reservation, to ensure they can be scheduled within the available calendar.
